Care
Keep Your ETUBY Bag Looking Its Best

To help you enjoy your ETUBY bag for years to come, we've put together some simple care instructions,

storage recommendations, and important usage notes.

Proper care will help preserve both its appearance and performance over time.

Everyday Care

  • Wipe away dust or dirt gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid scrubbing the surface, as excessive friction may reduce the water-repellent performance.
  • For heavier dirt, dampen a soft cloth with water and a mild neutral detergent, wring it out well, and wipe gently. Do not use solvents such as thinner, benzene, or alcohol, as they may cause discoloration, deformation, or damage.
  • After cleaning, allow the bag to air dry completely in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

About Rain & Moisture

  • Some ETUBY products are made with water-resistant materials, but they are not completely waterproof.
  • If the bag becomes wet, gently wipe off excess moisture with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated place.
  • Do not use hair dryers, clothes dryers, or other heat sources to speed up drying, as excessive heat may damage the materials or components.

Storage

  • When storing the bag for an extended period, keep it in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures, which may cause fading, discoloration, or deterioration.
  • To help maintain the bag's shape, lightly fill it with paper or other soft packing material before storage.

General Usage Notes

  • As each product is carefully handcrafted, slight variations in size, color, or finish may occur.
  • Do not overload the bag or carry excessively heavy items, as this may damage the bag, hardware, or straps.
  • ETUBY bags are not designed to protect fragile items from breakage. Please take appropriate care when carrying delicate belongings.
  • Avoid placing sharp objects directly inside the bag, as they may damage the fabric or lining.
  • Do not use or store the bag near open flames or in extremely hot or humid environments.
  • Friction and moisture may cause color transfer under certain conditions.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or UV light, as it may accelerate material aging.

Notes on Metal & Plastic Components

  • Metal and plastic hardware will naturally show signs of wear over time.
  • Exposure to moisture, sweat, or friction may cause metal finishes to fade or discolor.
  • Remove sand, mud, or dirt from hardware before use, as debris may affect its performance.
  • If hardware becomes wet, wipe it dry with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
  • Metal-plated parts may cause skin irritation depending on individual sensitivity. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and consult a medical professional if necessary.
  • Before use, ensure buckles, hooks, and other hardware are securely fastened. Improper use may result in the bag opening unexpectedly or damage to its contents.
  • Products equipped with magnetic hardware should be kept away from IC cards, credit cards, electronic devices, and other magnetic-sensitive items, as magnets may interfere with their function.

Notes on Using the Zipper

  • When opening or closing the zipper, be careful not to catch your fingers, clothing, or foreign objects. Doing so may cause injury, damage your belongings, or damage the zipper.
  • Do not force items into or out of the bag unless the zipper is fully open, as this may damage the zipper or the bag.
  • Always make sure the zipper is fully closed before carrying the bag. An incompletely closed zipper may allow your belongings to fall out or become damaged.
  • If the zipper becomes difficult to operate, avoid forcing it. Apply a zipper lubricant designed for this purpose before use.
  • Water-resistant zippers feature a polyurethane coating, which naturally makes them stiffer than standard zippers. With normal use, the coating will gradually wear over time.

Notes on Genuine Leather

  • Moisture from rain or perspiration, as well as friction, may cause color transfer to clothing or other materials.
  • If the leather becomes wet, discoloration, stains, swelling, or hardening may occur. If the bag gets wet, gently wipe away moisture with a soft, dry cloth, reshape the leather if necessary, and allow it to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
  • As genuine leather is a natural material, scratches, wrinkles, natural grain variations, insect marks, and other unique characteristics may be present.
  • Avoid rubbing the leather against rough surfaces, as it can scratch easily.

Notes on Hook-and-Loop Fasteners

  • Prevent the hook side from catching on clothing or other fabrics, as this may cause damage or pilling. Always press the hook and loop sides firmly together when the fastener is not in use.
